An Overview
Sue Washington is a therapist, trainer, educator, broadcaster and writer, and has been in the field of psychotherapy for over 40 years. She has been a UKCP Registered HypnoPsychotherapist since 1995. She is a nationally recognised leader in the field of psychotherapy and personal development.

She has worked with people since leaving college in 1968, and has always been inspired and passionate about being a helper. Using the holistic model, she has promoted health in terms of mental, emotional, spiritual and physical healing. She has dedicated her life to the EMPOWERMENT of the individual. (Please see the link below to her introductory video.)

Sue Washington created the Peace of Mind programme, which is part of an MEd at Liverpool John Moore’s University and has run very successfully for several years. She also designed the Peace of Mind pack for distance learning, which is validated by the University for Industry (Ufi).

Sue’s interest in a multimodal approach to helping people inspired her to develop new and different ideas. She started with her private practice, conducting professional dialogues with an initial group of colleagues. She moved to Liverpool and started Liverpool Holistic Health Centre. Out of this came the Centre Training School of Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (CTISHP) which trained around fifty practitioners a year for over twenty years. The coveted United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy validation was gained by CTISHP and the school’s practitioners were able to become registered through the accreditation. Sue has been on the Governing Board of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy for three years. She is also a member of the British Register of Complementary Practitioners and has been an advisor to the Institute of Complementary Medicine.
